Knitting at Roberts High School (by J. Garcia-Pallares)

Last year, Jose and other students knitted and donated over 200 hats to children cancer wards in Oregon and California.

Some things that we have in Roberts high school is that some kids can knit. These students can also make up their community hours also by knitting. In the knitting cluster, you can make hats and scarves for yourself or for people in foundations that may need fuzzy, warm hats. Some teachers can also help you try to knit knew projects.

When I knitted, I thought it was fun because I got to focus on the project. Once I started getting the hang of it, I just kept doing it. I felt great about myself that something that I was making was what someone needed, and that someone was helped by what I made.

  2. GREAT JOB!!But I would like to see OSU color themed hats. That would be super. You should be proud of the accomplishments you make. Each hat has a positive message that touches more than one person.
